Training Video
Creating training/awareness video content requires us as a video production company to present technical information in an engaging and entertaining way. Using video to change behaviour or raise awareness around a complex subjects is about finding a balance. Research shows that scaring people with the threat of consequences can be counter-productive. People switch off and shut down from receiving the information. But being able to demonstrate those consequences can be crucial to achieving that change in people’s behaviour.
This example focuses on Cyber Security made for the Welsh Police Forces through Welsh Government.
Service Highlights
- Scripted filmmaking – A narrative that is based on real life such as this one requires storyboarding and a clear script. We determined what the clear messages are that need to be conveyed. Including key terminology that needs to be used. From there we are able to create a script that can be signed off by the client before moving onto a storyboard.
- Pre Production Planning – Pre production planning for a video production like this is imperative. We were required to find the appropriate locations and actors for the film. As well as bring on board an art/costume department.
- Animation Elements – During the post production stage, our in house animator worked to create fake emails and forms to showcase within the film. This helped to add another level of realism to the film as it makes the viewer feel immersed in the narrative.
- Social Media – Projects like this often require us to deliver short versions of the film for social media purposes. In this particular project we delivered 30 and 90s versions of the film. These encapsulated some of the key, most engaging messages from the film. These were then able to be used across the clients social media platforms.
- Bilingual – Being a public sector organisation in Wales it’s vital that video material meets the Welsh Language Standards when it comes to video production. When a project is scripted like this creating Welsh version for Welsh language channels is very straightforward.
